Who We Are
Marion Trail Guides is a continuation program of the Marion Adventure Guides. Where YMCA Adventure Guides leaves off after 3rd grade, Trail Guides continues for boys and girls grades 4 through 7.
Marion Trail Guides is affiliated with the Marion YMCA (Cedar Rapids - Marion YMCA).
What We Do
Trail Guides organizes one family activity a month (most months of the year), with the emphasis on encouraging parent/child activity time. Both Moms and Dads are welcome, and most family activities are open to children of all ages.
Our typical activies have included:
- Maquoketa Caves - Caving and Campout
- Canoe Float and Campout
- Roller Skating and Pizza Party
- Swamp Fox Parade
- Horseback Riding
- Winter Campout at Camp Wapsi
- Picnic / Swimming / Fishing
With the older children, we have dropped the circle meetings, vests and beads of the Adventure Guides program.

Signing Up
The annual fee is $25 per family.
To sign up, just fill out the registration form and take it to the Marion YMCA.
